Calumet Heights Chicago is one of the 77 well-defined community areas and is bounded by 87th Street on the north, South Chicago Avenue on the east, and railroad lines on the west and south along 95th Street.
A largely residential neighborhood Calumet Heights located on the Far Southeast Side of Chicago and one area of the city where the vast majority of the homes are owner-occupied.
The Metra and CTA buses serve the neighborhood. Per its name, the Calumet River is nearby, and even Lake Michigan is fairly close.
